Not A New Diet But A New Lifestyle

Hello readers! I’m posting a little late today but, it’s still Wednesday so I can’t be scolded, yet. The week’s been very busy which is why I haven’t posted yet. Usually, I write my posts in advance then, post them on Wednesday or Saturday but, I just haven’t had the time. Even now, I’m in a hurry but, enough excuses.

This week that just past, I  created a new diet for myself. This is one that I think I can actually follow without feeling guilty or paranoid about everything I eat. Originally, I wanted to follow Paleo but it just didn’t work. I wasn’t getting enough calories. I had a huge calories deficit which is not good for someone who is at least moderately active and I do not want to be sedentary. I’m not good with super high carb diets and I don’t want to follow Atkins so, I made my own diet. I guess you could just say I’m eating cleaner. I’ve added rice back into my diet but, that’s the only grain I’ve really added back. I still don’t eat bread, soy, legumes, or dairy. I feel great. I used to start feeling pretty sluggish around noon when I was doing paleo but, now I feel pretty energetic. The amount of carbs I eat is still the same as when I was paleo, around 100 to 150 grams is where I stay naturally without restricting myself. I guess paleo just wasn’t for me but, I learned some useful information about myself and I’m glad I did it.

I still have days where I fast. I have days where I just eat without holding back almost like carb cycling except its more calorie cycling than carbs. Like I said before, my carbs naturally stay around 100 to 150 grams. I’m also starting to look better when I look in the mirror. My skin looks awesome! It’s probably because I eat more fruit now and I had already cut down the amount of sugar I ate when summer started. (I noticed a while ago that I get pimples when I’m eating a lot of sugar). I’ve also been focusing on giving myself more sleep. I tend to slack on that end of my health but, I’m trying. Anyways, This is my new lifestyle change. I’ll keep you updated. I have to get to dance practice!

Thanks for listening to my rant,
