The perfectionist inside of me told me its all or nothing.

Am I an action potential or am I a human being?

I am a human with many action potentials.

The perfectionist inside of me told me to binge or starve.

There’s no middle ground.

You must exercise every other day.

Get an A or be a failure and shrug it off, knowing that internally you are yelling at yourself.

The perfectionist inside of me tells me I need to be happy in public.

Listen to everyone even if they will not listen to you.

Not that you trust them to know your problems anyways.

Quite the robot, aren’t you?

Are you an action potential or a human being?

The perfectionist inside of me constantly bosses me around.

Sometimes, I get tired and just stop everything.

It’s either you write more than 500 words or you don’t write at all.

So, I’m writing this post just to spite the perfectionist inside of me.

Because it’s less than 500 words and I started a sentence with because.

Because I am a human being.
