Side Hustle Struggle

Given that I am a student on a student budget sans job, I think a side hustle would be nice. Or is it the main hustle since I have no job? Anyways, I have been scouring the web for potential side hustles to make some side sources of income that I can add to my financial aid money because tuition definitely increased this academic year and I still requested the same amount of money.  Right now I have some miniature stocks which I am not depending on because I am not too sure about how the stock market is going to be in the coming years but, I have a negative feeling about it.

I have found a lot of things but, most could either end up in me being kidnapped and trafficked or worse (I don’t trust strangers, stranger danger alert!) or requires some type of initial expenditures. I may end up doing the latter but, I have bad self-marketing skills so some of these ideas may not work out so well. I have considered jewelry-making, T-shirt-making (I really know nothing about designing T-shirts but we all have to start somewhere, I guess), writing a novel (I’m great at starting stories but, not finishing) and other things that require some creativity. Lots of people say blogging but, I have a blog and it makes me no money. I guess I would have to put in more commitment. As of now, I think I will stick to blogging for purely personal reasons. Plus, I don’t even get that much traffic.

The point of this whole blog is just to vent about my useless side hustle research. There is even a website that pays you to do other people’s assignments but, for obvious reasons I will not name names. If you are curious do your own research. Even that market seems saturated, people answer the easy questions so fast and all that’s left is engineering, calculus, and questions that are asking way too much for only $3. Maybe, I’m just too lazy and not dedicated enough to the side hustle. I used to do surveys in undergrad and while that did help me financially in some ways, it wasn’t always worth my hours and you’re not guaranteed the survey money either if you don’t fit the specific baseline demographics for the survey.

As I type my post out to you, I have a simple T-shirt on sale on TeeSpring. You will definitely know if that venture goes well. It is only a 3-day campaign so we shall see. I probably should have made it longer but, I’m playing it safe. Sigh, I don’t know why I did that. Playing it safe all the time will get me nowhere in life. Maybe that’s the pharmacist in me. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!

So, in conclusion, I have tried surveys, I’m trying TeeSpring and, have no hopes to strike rich in my stocks (but, they are more for some longterm ventures). I’ve also been contemplating writing a book for many years. I’ve gone through many Ideas and titles. I know I’m going to do something great one day that expands past my future profession of pharmacy but, I have not found it yet. I just need to keep on searching and find my way.

Thanks for reading my rant today. What are some side hustles that you have tried or are currently doing? Comment below. Don’t forget to like this post and follow this blog if you want more rants like this.
