Good morning! Last week, I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Benjamin Lee from I CAN DO. Click on the link to go to his blog.
I am so grateful for this nomination! Thank you for nominating me Benjamin!
Now, the Sunshine Blogger Award comes with some rules.
- Thank the blogger and provide a link to their blog.
- Put the award logo up.
- Answer the questions that are given.
- Nominate other bloggers.
The questions I was given:
Please post a favorite picture of yourself.
What other passions do you have outside blogging?
I love watching foreign dramas and movies. I can spend hours watching kdramas, filipino movies, Bollywood movies, and telenovelas. I wish I could speak most languages. But for now I’ll settle for pretending I know most of them in my head. I love learning more about fitness and nutrition. I have a lot of books dedicated to those topics and my YouTube Watch Later Playlist is full of fitness science videos. I like to know the science behind the nutrition and fitness.
What do you think about my blog?
I almost answered this question at the beginning of this post. But then I caught myself. I think your blog is inspirational especially once you know the meaning behind the title I CAN DO. I love the intentionality of the title. It gives the blog a bigger meaning, personalizes it, and sets you apart from other bloggers in the same niche as yours.
If you could be one superhero, who would you be and why?
I always struggle with this question. I think I would be Iron Man or rather Iron woman. I like the suit and the technology. It looks cool. Also, you don’t have to be born with the power. Hard work and intelligence can make you a superhero rather than a power that you are born with or accidentally gifted.
What is one piece of advice you would give me to improve in blogging?
Create the ideal reader of your blog and write to them. That ideal reader can even be yourself in the past. What would you want your past self to know? This always helps me. By writing to everyone, you write to no one. Just a general piece of advice that I’ve stuck to.
What books have you read multiple times and why?
I enjoy making my workouts based off anatomy and science so I constantly go back to Bodyweight Strength Training Anatomy by Bret Contreras and Free weight Training Anatomy by Ryan George. I’ve reread multiple books by Eva Ibbotson. She is an Austrian novelist who writes young adult books. I fell in love with her novels in high school. I read her books when I want a break from serious things, but still want to read something well-written (i.e, not a trashy romance although they do have their time and place).
How do you sharpen your saw? By that, I mean how do you stay fresh and sharp when it comes to your blog and life in general?
I am constantly reading and learning something new whether it pertains to school or not. I try to keep up with news daily. I follow other bloggers both in and out of my niche. You never know where your next inspiration is going to come from. When I get curious about something, I google it and find my way to more valid resources. I like to be well-rounded so I don’t limit myself to learning things in one area in life. If I want to learn how to do something, I research it. I watch educational videos, listen to inspirational podcasts, and hang out with people who inspire me to do better and be better.
